Aura

I didn’t choose the name "Aura" trying to explain anything — it arrived afterward, almost by chance, and it stayed because it named exactly what had happened in the room that night. It was the only space available to paint in: dark, except for a warm, faint light that barely reached the canvas. I wasn’t expecting anything from that session, and that’s exactly why I could enter the most intimate moment of my process so far — the first time I let myself explore without judgment, without chasing a result. The soft oranges that cover "Aura" aren’t a palette decision: they’re that light, literally, the only light there was that night. The name arrived on its own, but it was already there, lighting up the room before it had a word.
